I never realized how ubiquitous food is in our culture and in my life in general. since opting for the medical food program, I have received a beautiful package of 6 homemade jams and jellies, and watched several bowl games with names such as the Outback Bowl, in which enormous steaks seem to be the key offensive players...
HMR food, in a word, is horrendous. You appetite is staunched because eating more of that stuff holds no excitement, whatsoever.... And not being able to drown your sorrows in food leaves you in a pretty dark place to start the new year...
Get off the couch friend and take a walk. John and I just did. It helps the mood immensely and you can lose 100 calories having fun. Get your sweet wife to walk with you and talk sweet talk. There are other benefits there. :)
